Hotel Holiday was designed by the celebrated Bosnian architect Ivan Štraus in the period 1982-1983 and opened for the 14th Winter Olympic Games in Sarajevo in 1984. Since then, as a witness to the recent history of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it has become an indispensable place for business travelers and tourists.

The most important guests of the hotel during the war were numerous foreign journalists who from 1992 to 1995 lived and worked in the hotel, which was located in the immediate vicinity of the active defense line and which was attacked and shelled countless times. It remained famous to many around the world because war correspondents used it to send images of events in Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina to the world.

Hotel Holiday will delight guests with its traditional elegance, top-notch service and amenities.
